UglyRhino Originals

After an inaugural micro-season in November, UglyRhino is returning to the Brooklyn Lyceum with an expanded three weeks of theater, music and parties. UglyRhino centers on two mainstage plays which are the heart of a larger artistic celebration that provides audiences with a variety of events on any given evening. This summer we are proud to present a season of entirely new work. Grief by David Kantounas was workshopped in London as part of the Old Vic Coming Up Festival, and we are producing its New York City premiere. After featuring his work in our previous micro-season, UglyRhino has commissioned playwright Kyle Warren to create an original world premiere entitled #nyc.

UglyRhino Originals will host Lagunitas Happy Hours, free food nights of Nathan's Hot Dogs, Baluchi's Indian Food, and more! We are proud to welcome back select bands from our last micro-season including Bird Love, Brian Rady and Friends, and Grace McLean joining such new bands as The Hot Press, Kara Suzanne.  Speciality acts will include Gentrify Brooklyn and Looking for Love: A craigslist Comedy.
